Recently, Celina High School was listed as one of the top Best High Schools across Texas and the nation. With more than 3,200 high schools in Texas and 18,000 nationwide, CHS made the list based upon data collected by a third-party reporting to US News & World Report. Several data factors are part of the process including Advanced Placement (AP) course offerings, AP enrollment and scores, along with state assessment data, graduation rates, and demographics.

“This ranking is a direct outcome of multiple factors: a world class staff, a supportive community, wonderful families, and amazing kids,” said Dr. John Burdett, CHS Principal. “This ranking is further testament of the positive impact of our motto: Love Kids; Drive Rigor.”

Dr. Tom Maglisceau, Superintendent of Schools, said, “Having great teachers from Pre-K through 12th grade is the foundation of this recognition! Additionally, our district continues to expand opportunities for our students to explore their talents and passions while receiving an incredible education.”
