Our prayers go out to the families affected by last night’s storm. We are immensely grateful there was no loss of life reported in Celina, and it is truly a blessing to see so many people supporting one another right now.

We understand that some families in our community have experienced significant damage to their homes. If you or someone you know has been displaced as a result of the storm, or if you have additional needs we can support, please reach out to your campus principal. Remember, none of us are alone in this; we are here to offer support during this challenging time.

Celina ISD also experienced damage throughout the district, with Martin Elementary, Moore Middle School, and Celina High School more significantly impacted. Our teams were working through the night and the day today to diligently assess the extent of the damage. We already have workers ensuring our buildings are safe and watertight. When we have completed our initial assessments and work, we will provide another update to our families.

We appreciate your understanding for any delay in communications this week as we work through this process. We also appreciate the city and our community reaching out to CISD to offer assistance. At this time, we believe we have everything in order, and we encourage those who wish to help in some way to continue providing support for families who have been affected by the storm.

Celina is a very special community, and it is times like these that truly demonstrate the strength and compassion we find in one another. Together, we will navigate through this adversity and emerge even stronger.
