The Celina ISD Special Programs offers a variety of Adapted Sports opportunities for our students with disabilities and their general peers.

FUNdamental Sports- Celina ISD offers the opportunity for families to connect to FUNdamental Sports with their children, as well as work on the skills for FUNdamental Sports through Adapted PE opportunities. Click here for more information.

Special Olympics- Celina ISD

Paralympics/ParaSports

Unified Sports- Unified Sports is a an opportunity for students with Special Olympics qualifications and General Peers to compete in sports together. There are many sports available through the Special Olympics of Texas umbrella linked HERE in which our students through Celina ISD can participate. There is also a bridge between Special Olympics and the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Sports; sports currently offered in Texas are Unified Basketball and Unified Track & Field.

Unified Champion Schools (Celina High School) - Unified Champion Schools® is a unique Special Olympics program in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education to promote inclusion and acceptance among students with and without intellectual disabilities. SEE HERE

The Unified Champion Schools® approach incorporates Unified Sports® and Unified Activities, Inclusive Youth Leadership and Whole School Engagement. The benefits of UCS include:
- bully prevention,
- moral intelligence,
- character development,
- leadership development,
- physical fitness and
- an increased positive school culture.

Peer Advocates (peer group advocating inclusion activities)
